12th December 2024 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: light Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 8 Sea Temperature: Weather: Low cloud and drizzle :( Max Speed: Distance Covered: Thursday 12th December - walks * – Around Felixstowe – low cloud with drizzle:(. The worst days weather of the week so far with low cloud and drizzle so were in no hurry to get up but did head out with my camera just after 9 to take some weather pics which proved worth while when the lovely Aisling on ITV’s About Anglia featured one of the beach huts at The Fludyers in the gloom! I had a nice chat with the fisherman at the Fludyers just about to launch his boat to set his nets before continuing to the Ferry to take some photos of our brightly coloued umbrella which I still haven’t got on the telly yet! I did have a quick walk to the Martello tower and around the boat yard before heading home for breakfast! Exercises followed before a quick bite to eat before our neighbours came around for the afternoon for a nice catch-up over a cuppa and cake. Then with the drizzle still falling Mag and I walked to the cliff top to post a lovely Christmas card to our Grandson which Mag had spent the morning colouring then walked the length of the town to buy some tinsel and baubles to make a Christmas tree I has seen online, I will hopefully post a pic tomorrow, we are definitely getting in the Christmas sprit now! Another day of poor weather then things are set to improve over the weekend and I might even get out on my foil with the temperatures set to rise:) Photo Album here |
